Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PrivaLens iOS application ("PrivaLens" or the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PrivaLens is a mobile application providing privacy protection, hardware diagnostics, and local device maintenance utilities, including:

  • Photo & Video Privacy Sanitizer: Removing sensitive EXIF metadata, GPS coordinates, and camera specs.
  • Interactive Hardware Diagnostics: Testing screen pixels, touch sensitivity, stereo speakers, microphone, and sensors.
  • Biometric Private Media Vault: Encrypted local storage protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or Passcode.
  • Smart Local Storage Organizer: Assisting in identifying duplicate photos, contacts, and calendar items on-device.

3. In-App Purchases & Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

PrivaLens offers premium features ("PrivaLens Pro") through auto-renewable subscription plans:

Weekly Subscription (with 3-Day Free Trial)
Billed on a recurring weekly basis. Includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Upon trial completion, subscription charges apply automatically unless cancelled prior.
Annual Subscription (Save 80%)
Billed annually on a recurring basis, offering full access to all premium features at a discounted rate.

Billing & Renewal Terms:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID Account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current cycle at the standard rate of the chosen plan.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings on your device after purchase.

4. Intellectual Property & Limited License

All intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, design assets, and software code in PrivaLens belong to the PrivaLens development team. We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.

5. User Data & Deletion Responsibility

PrivaLens operates on a 100% on-device architecture. When you choose to delete photos, contacts, or calendar entries, or when you sanitize metadata, actions are executed locally at your explicit command. It is your responsibility to review items before confirming deletion.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

PrivaLens is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our diagnostic tools provide helpful indicators of device health, they are designed for consumer convenience and do not substitute for official hardware diagnostic services by Apple Authorized Service Providers.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall PrivaLens, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, excluding its conflict of law rules.
